Divided Berlin.

Last week, i read through the book that i got in the Library called BATTLEGROUNG BERLIN. It was helpful in a way that most internet articles aren´t. It was written by people who know alot about the cold war and according to interviews with CIA and KGB officers. It´s also from documents that have never been released to the public. It is also very detailed in that it says exactly what happened and why. However, i have gone through different pages of the book and it isn´t directly connected to my sub topic.
However, I found two websites http://berlinwall.itgo.com/exodus.htm and http://berlinwall.itgo.com/fly.html which were really helpful. These two websites clearly explain the differences between East berlin from the rest of berlin and how desperate the Easterners were to escape to the west. Some of them even put together peices of nylon cloth to be able to fly over the wall.
