Continuation...

In 1910 Korea was colonized by Japan and during the second world war Korea was treated very bad by the Japanese people. Though, three countries: The US, China and Great Britain decided in 1943 that one of the goals with the war should be to create an independent Korea for the allied.

The Soviet Union declared war towards Japan in the mid 1945 and took parts of the Red Army fast through Manchuriet to the North part of Korea. Then the White House started to worry for Korea, it would not be good for them if the Soviet took over the whole Korea so they proposed that the country should split in half between America and Soviet. Surprisingly, Soviet did accept it, even though no american troups was in, or even close to, Korea.

In december -45 Soviet and the US discussed and signed how Korea was to be ruled, though there was no progress in the discussion. The inhabitants in Korea didn't want the country to be separated so they can easliy be seen as victims. But as Soviet and the US didn't agree on how Korea should be ruled the country stayed separated and got new rulers that was supported by the countries "ruling" them: North side (Soviet) got Kim II Sung as ruler and South (the US) got Syngman Rhee as a ruler. As we can predict the North side got introduced in a comminust/socialist economy while the South side got Capitalism.

To be continued again...
