CIA in the cold war

I have chosen to take the CIA in the cold war, as a part of the cultural cold war. there are some things that had a lot of influence on the thought of people, like the Congress for Cultural Freedom, set up by the CIA. there was also more support for certain cultural activities then there was for others (those that were ´against´ capitalism or something like that), because of the tax system.

culture was really important in the cold war, and that is something most people forget or don´t even think about when they here Cold War. there were a lot of new countries or states right after the second world war. because nationalism grew all around the world after world war II, all these states wanted to have their own identity and culture. because these countries didn´t really have their own culture yet, because they just appeared, it was really important for the USA and the USSR to get as much influence in those countries as possible.

this is what I have read/found out so far
